25 policemen injured in Chhattisgarh landmine blast - Hindustan Times

At least 25 policemen were injured in a landmine blast set off by Maoists in Chhattisgarh\'s Bastar region.

Extremists of the Communist Party of India-Maoists set off the explosion when the police team was patrolling Abujhmad forest area in Bastar region on Wednesday night.

Among the injured was the Narayanpur Superintendent of Police, Ravindra Bhedia.

All the injured, including six with serious injuries, have been admitted to a government hospital at Narayanpur, 376 km from Raipur, a home department official said.

Police claimed that three Maoists were killed when police fired at them.
