Sergei Shargaev - Belarus
Sergei Shargaev was injured in 1984, while serving in the Soviet Army during the war in Afghanistan when another soldier stepped on a landmine.
Sergei currently works as a driver on a farm and is also involved in the Veterans of War Association. After his experience in Geneva with Raising the Voices, Sergei, in cooperation with the local authorities and NGOs, would like to develop and manage a Survivor Advocate Program in Dubrovno District, Vitebsk region, the most mine-affected district in Belarus.
