LSN Ethiopia Health
Where We Work LSN Ethiopia has supported 140 survivors with health-related Direct Assistance (DA) that includes purchasing prosthetics, as well as emergency relief food supplies and materials for house repair. They also provide materials to produce and maintain wheelchairs and other orthotic devices to the Permanent Home for People with Disabilities.

The Surviving Limb Loss pamphlets have been translated into Amharic and distributed to survivors throughout the region.

Sports
In the spring of 2005, 20 LSN Network-sponsored survivors participated in “The Great Ethiopian Run,” a 10K race. Team LSN-Ethiopia wore t-shirts with the slogan “No Landmines. No Victims.”

In May, 2005, the team also participated in the annual sport competitions hosted by Addis Ababa Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities, and won a respectable 34 medals. The competition featured participants from 28 organizations, and gave survivors the opportunity to interact and socialize with many other people with disabilities from throughout Ethiopia. Sports included soccer, volleyball, basketball, weightlifting, and table tennis.
